I guess it can be said, I always fall for the redheaded characters, and I like the adventurers. The rest we can blame on my roommate, Omgfloofy. When she introduced me to the Ys series, I wanted to cosplay Adol for a long time.

By the time I got around to doing it, I still wasn't sure how to make armor. I wanted to do it right, but the guest at Ushicon that year was going to be Hitoshi Okuda, and he did a manga based on Ys, Mask of the Sun. It was settled, I'd do the travelling armorless version he had drawn in only a few pages.

One day I'll make armor for version 2, but my favorite memory of wearing this costume was getting the comic autographed. The author was so embarassed that I knew a minor work of his (he was famous for Tenchi after all), but I think he was happy too. XD
