Was made for Senshi-Con 2012.
This was extremely difficult to make and I hope I can re-make it with a better arsenal of tools and methods.
The black underbody suit was easy to make. The shoulder gem was made from resin and was a bitch to keep on. The arm-bracelet was made with model magic and broke during a cosplay chess fight. ;-; The leg band was good, spray painted vinyl that kept on with double sided tape (lol). The boots are my pride and joy, made with faux fur and vinyl attached (at first with cement glue, but after that failed I resorted to a staple gun) to a pair of perfect sandals I bought on eBay after months of constant monitoring.
The trim on the "skirt" needs to be remade, as a last minute I ended up buying an OK fitting trim at Jo Ann's, but I want to paint a more accurate design. Torso and arm ruffle also sewn. Arm bands made with vinyl and foam shapes I put together and spray painted gold. Wig didn't come on time from Arda, (I forgot that they had a processing time- it came the day later OTL) so I had to hand copic a separate wig ;-; for 3 hours day before con... needless to say my wig head is tan now and so were my hands lmao.
Detachable sword was designed and traced by me, my dad (loves working on props) cut it out and sanded it. I painted it and added the blue decor. During the Cosplay Chess fight I received quite the reaction from the audience after I showed off that it could detach (lol).
I loved this outfit because everybody treated me with jokes and smiles. lol. great experience.
One thing I learned is that hot glue does not work with vinyl. At all. It peels off so easily like a snake shedding it's skin. Need to find something else.
Participated in Cosplay Chess with Pit.
