Created and worn for 2010 Senshi-Con. Back when I created it there were only 2 reference photos of her. The one in her "winter outfit", and the one that looks similarly to her original un-genderbent character. I liked the latter since you could tell probably who it looked like/where it was from.
I decided to go with shorts because the jacket was way too short for my liking. And also it made it look /even/ closer to the original counterparts. nice.
It was definitely difficult for me since there were a lot of smaller detailed pieces. My sewing ability was not as good back in those years and I did use some hot glue for the smaller bits and pieces. Looking back at it now I am impressed at my former self for being able to create the patterns for the outfit completely from scratch without any rough drafts. All of the fabric bits were bought at Jo Ann's, head set was painted from an old broken pair, boots were bought and had sewn arrows added on, arm parts and scarf were sewed. Wig was from ebay, contacts from Pinky Paradise.
I also participated in the Cosplay Chess with a friend as Rin, there is just a small funny part of our fight:
