The best part about cosplaying Yukio was getting to cosplay as a twin with my "twinface" ThornQueen. Even though we are not actually related, we get comments about our likeness very frequently (both looks and personalities), so it was fun getting to cosplay characters who are twin brothers. :) Yukio was my favorite from the series, and coincidentally, Rin was her favorite, so it worked out perfectly.
The only articles of this costume made from scratch were the coat and gun holsters, which were made over the course of about 2.5 all-nighters. @A@ I made the coat with twill and I lined it with the same fabric to add thickness to it. I did not line the sleeves though, because I wanted to at least try and keep it a little cool since I was wearing this in Texas summer, and because I think it would have looked too bulky on the arms. A big thank you to my friend Rii for helping me sort out my thoughts when my sleep-deprived brain could not remember how to line garments and helped me make a collar pattern, haha. <3
The black shirt, pants, and shoes were all bought from a thrift store.
The tie was bought, and I added the cross design to it.
The guns currently pictured are $1 store water guns that I slightly modified and painted. They were a very last-minute buy and have since been replaced (however, I haven't gotten any good photos with them yet.)
The pin was bought and modified. I added hot glue to the tip to make it an inch or so longer, and added "wings" to the top since Yukio's pin is different when he's a paladin. Then, I completely re-did the paint job on it.
