My husband gifted me with Rowena's movie prop replica diadem for Christmas 2016, so of course I had to make a cosplay to go with it! I chose to replicate her portrait robes that you can see int he headmaster's office at Universal Studios Orlando

The base dress was made using Laura Marsh's off the shoulder evening dress pattern. The fabrics are velvet and a metallic upholstery fabric. It is lined with china silk, and has a boned coutil interlining. The zipper and neck edge were both handpicked.

The most unique part of the dress is the beading. I spent roughly 17 hours hand beading the sleeve caps, front panel, and neckline with 17 different types of beads: from Swarovski pendants, to twisted bugle beads, sequins, and an assortment of glass beads.

The wig is a self-styled lace front with a braided crown and twisted braids.
