2014 - Fanime
Most ridiculous costume to date, and I stupidly only gave myself 2 weeks to do it...

Wig: Arda's Delilah in Jade
- loose ponytail, covered a green foam ball, secured it with second rubber band
- brown fabric glued on top of the rubberbands and green gems glued on
Horn
- 15 layers of liquid latex formed on a a clay sculpt
- painted with a pros-aide/acrylic paint mixture
Ears
- painted to match my skin tone (as best as I could)
Jacket/Cape
- created a pattern by drawing on, and destroying, a shirt
- gray edging glued on with Fabric Fusion (took some patience)
Belts/Wrist Cuffs
- interfaced, glued gray edging
- small eye hooks hand sewed to the ends of the wrist cuffs
- front circle made from the top of a foam dome, painted, and sealed with mod podge
Tights
- painted with fabric paint...then standing still forever, waiting for them to dry
Hooves
- cut the back half off of wedge sandals
- nailed wire screening to the toe and bent it into the hoof shape, covered in paper mache, then bondo
- sanded, spray painted with plastidip, and coated for protection
- hot glued the fur around the rest of the shoes...open with velcro along the back
- tied brown fabric strips around them
Moon Staff:
- moon carved out of 2" insulation foam, covered in plaster, and sanded (again, ran out of time for perfect smoothness, but I like the battle-worn look anyway)
- armor designs made from craft foam
- pole is pvc pipes and locking irrigation connections covered in craft foam (connections just pop together, but they come apart with a special tool so that I can travel with 3 smaller pieces)
Green Gems
- all 34 pieces were cast with resin
- some were dyed with sharpie ink, some were dipped in transparent glass paint (I still cry over the amount of wasted resin from the sharpie ink going the wrong color for no reason I can fathom)
- backed with aluminum foil
- glued onto everything with E6000
