Made in 2010, this was my first cosplay created from scratch. I was playing Okami at the time and thought it would be nice to have a human version as a cosplay. I searched online for different designs and came up with this one.

I used a thick white fabric for the kimono so that I can make it using only one layer and it is not see-through. Even then, the costume is very warm..! The obi is made of a textured upholstery and the swirls on the sleeves are hand painted using fabric paint. The item in the back called Divine Retribution (weapon in the game) was made using a styrofoam disc covered with paper maché to create relief and painted with acrylics.
