I made this costume for the group that you see in the pictures, though there is one kitty missing.. We did the masquerade and won two prizes! We were pretty proud :>

Let's start from the top..
The hat is a foam base covered with white fabric so it's super flimsy but it holds well thanks to two clips sewn underneath. There's also a small piece of mesh gathered and sewn underneath it and the huge purple bow was such a pain to do, I don't even remember how I managed to do it. It's just like two long tubes of fabric folded a few times and kept together with a small strip of fabric.... Yeah. I have a total of 5 cameos on this costume and they are all glued to a piece of felt, with a string of beads sewn around them and then I sew them to.. The hat, the collar, the bra and my two shoes~
Then there's the wiggggg my baby.. This is two arda wigs assembled together to get maximum poof (I had to sew clips on the inside so they don't slide off my head since the combo is super heavy) I used the braiding + boiling water method to make the waves and I teased everything to hell to get lotsa poof. The bump is a big chunk of foam covered with remaining welts of the second wig and it's sewn on the base... Don't even ask me how, it was hell. You can't see it in the pictures but there are flowers, beads and bows everywhere at the back of my head. Also there are 7 kinds of flowers and feathers on this wigs, all clipped or sewn to the foam-thing.
I know I could've done better but I'm still pretty proud.

Then there's the collar which is a band of fabric covered with huge beads which are freaking heavy and attached with small clips at the back. There's also ruffles at the bottom (made with the handsew a line andd pull on it to gather the fabric) and a small leash kinda thing.. Cause you know, i'mma cat.

Then there's that bra omg.. I did choose this cat because there was no corset to make and I didn't want to try my hand at one at this time in my life but the bra was still a hassle.. The base is a really pretty 50-fucking-dollars bra that I covered up with a nice transparent and creamy fabric (you don't want to see the inside, haha) I made tube with that fabric and put the bands in those and voila.. Then I painted some with lace to gold/yellow (I regret not dyeing it but I'm not redoing them lol) and I painstakingly sewed them to the bra. There's a tiny bow in the middle and lots and lots of ruffles at the bottom~
I really like the bra but because it's so padded and has these metal parts it all had to be done by hand with this heavy duty needle haha.

Then there's the gloves which I really hate (it's my fourth cosplay where I had to do gloves, I am so sick of them omg) I simply traced the outlines of my arms and hands and bought this two way stretchy fabric, then I sewed some lace, bows and beads on there (which are not stretchy, bravo me) and yeah. I'm so glad there were no fingers but doing the finishes on the ends was a bitch so I simply used that no fray glue..

The belt is one of my favourite parts I really like it and it looks super clean in my opinion. I started with the tube at the base and did a first base of frills all around and then a second smaller layer. The frills on both sides are actually donut shaped circles that I opened up and they are named cascading ruffles. They were cool to make! The lace that is on the skirt is tea dyed be a use I didn't think white looked very nice with the cream of the fabric.. I added beads on both sides as well as big as bows and some cute curtain-things with bells that glingling when I walk Hahaha. The belt simply has attaches on one side and it holds very well.

Underneath I have a huge elastic to which the tail is attached as well as those bands of fabric that are the... Sock holder things and my thigh highs are sewed yo those. So it's a bit complicated to put on but at least nothing slips.
Four more bows were added on my socks.

Finally the shoes were a pair of 40$ pumps that I really wanted to thrift but I couldn't find cream coloured high heels anywheeeeere.. Added some beads, lace, a bow and a cameo on there and voila!
All done!

I'd like to do a special mention to my make up, which I did not do a test of beforehand and still ended up puuurrrfect ;DDDDD

This cosplay was a whole new challenge for me, yes, because of the fancy work and wig but also because I had never been in such a sexy costume. I mean cat girls are already very popular with geeks and my version I felt was very elegant but very half naked at the same time haha. We got our pictures taken non stop and that made me so happy because I love getting my picture taken hahaa! I'll be wearing lots in the future I hope!!
