Lapras was an exciting project to work on. I spent a lot of time trying to make sure the blues throughout the outfit match. The skirt and main corset is made out of an ivory crepe. The details on the bottom of the corset were satin stitched and painted. The blue fabric on the obi, sleeves and skirt are all blue satin. The details on the skirt and sleeves are hand painted/stamped. The details on the obi are hand painted as well. The shell is upholstery grey suede over a foam shell. The braids on the shell are plumbing insulation tubes cut down to size and then braided together. The fins are a blue crepe and ivory crepe with some batting in the middle which are attached with parachute clips to the shell. The collar is interfaced satin on the outside and a gathered ivory crepe on the inside. The outside trim is a insulation foam decorated and attached to the collar.
