Where do I even start with this costume? Red River is my favorite manga, and Nakia is such a fantastic villain. The dress itself was pretty simple to make, just a slightly altered formal gown pattern, and the rest of it...was an adventure. I'd never made large amounts of jewelry for a costume before and wow does Nakia wear a lot of jewelry (let's be real, almost everyone in Red River wears a lot of jewelry). The wig was more of a challenge than I expected, and due to how loose the style is, I basically have to re-style it every time I wear it. All told I learned a lot making this costume, and I definitely have at least one more Nakia outfit planned.
