I'm not that great at sewing yet, so this was made via thrift store searching and altering. The skirt was originally this yellowish color and was plain. I dyed it red using rit dye in scarlet. I used two bottles to get the color to look right. Once that was done I added the detail on the skirt. The top I also got from thrift store hunting, and the only thing I had to do was add the ribbon on the cuffs. The vest was a great find at my local thrift store (considering most vests there are those "ugly holiday" ones) and it was just a little big, so I brought it in to fit my body better.
