I've wanted to cosplay Splatoon since I saw the trailer for it. I decided to be a blue Inkling instead of the default orange color, since blue is my favorite color, and it is a canon color. I decided to make the school uniform outfit since it was really cute, and not hard to put together. I actually made this costume in the course of two days.

I found closest blue plaid fabric that I could find that would work for the tie and skirt. I found the jacket and yellow v-neck shirt from a thrift store. I made the tentacles out of fleece. The Slosher prop was a very last minute thing that I bought from a dollar store and just dumped blue paint into it the night before the con.
