Bought Items: Metal hair clips, 2 metal rings.
The body suit is a separate shirt and pants made out of spandex. The shirt is a chainmail texture I found online, modified blue and re-sized, and printed on spandex. The armor is all veg tan leather that I patterned, cut, and dyed with acrylic paint. The symbols on the armor are Twilight Princess Hylian script, and if you see me in person I can tell you what they say. ;) The white fabric is all linen and the front tabbard is applicae. The wig was the most difficult piece. It is technically bald on top so the wraps would sit right. The braid has a lot of wefts added to it for thickness.
My favorite piece is the hair piece on the braid. I cast it out of aluminum and it is attached with a magnet. The front tabbard has pewter cast pieces as well. It was my first time casting metal and working on leather armor for this project.
The knife is poplar wood and the scabbard is craft foam and worbla. The lyre is poplar wood wit metal strings for durability. The bow of light has a pvc pipe bow base (so it can flex realistically when I pull back. It is equal to a 20 pound bow and can shoot real arrows, just not the arrow of light.) The decorations and detail on the bow are a mixture of EVA foam, craft foam, and worbla. The arrow of light is a dowel and craft foam.
This is the final version of three revisions.
Debuted at Salt Lake Comic Con 2013 (competed and did not win. First revision was started after. New wig and fixed fitting of armor.)
Anime Banzai 2013 - First place Masters Craftsmanship and first place masters Performance (I still wanted to make it perfect and add more props so second revision started. Added more depth and styling to wig. Re-dyed armor with shading, added knife, bow of light, and lyre.)
Wore to FanXperience 2014 as test run
Final debut at Fantasy Con 2014 - did not win anything but was eligible to perform on stage.
Featured in the youtube video "Zelda Jiggle" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgpytnv0gFs
I will update if I compete with her again.
