I love love love I-no and this has been a dream to make and I can't believe I got to be her!
Lots and lots of vinyl. It took about 2 weeks of on and off work to complete, and was one of the more challenging projects to date. I started constructing the skirt which is two a waist cincher attached to a bottom skirt, and is attached by the center piece. I then made the jacket, which I actually lined with the same fabric as it would sometimes dip when I'd move my arms and I wanted a consistent look.
The Jacket is largely held up by the neck piece which comes together with snaps in the back. Gloves were simple, following the simple method of tracing my hand and then hemming the bottom to match how hers look in art. Boot covers were made and attached with glue to short boots I cut apart and then painted red. The hat is made out of felt top piece sewn to the bottom and then sprayed with starch. I then ducttaped wire to the rim of the felt and then created a 'cover' piece made out of the same vinyl as the rest of my outfit, which attaches to the felt in the center of the hat.Guitar was made using a practice guitar where we removed the face and then added a new face made out of cardboard.
The face was then painted along with the body, and all new pieces were made of a combination of sculpy, foam and other board. It was then restrung to complete the look.
