Drakengard. My first true gamer's experience.
When I bought this game about 10 years ago, I stopped living for 2 days. I didnt sleep, barely eat and just sat there, playing at it. I LOVED THAT GAME SO MUCH (shush! I know a lot didnt, but I did!)!!! The second opus was just as good (in my opinion) and I was the first one in my home town to buy it (was waiting in front of the door for the opening of the store cause I was too hype!(he he, true fan!)).
When I found out, 2 years ago, that there would be a third game, I was so, soooo happy!!! I had an instant crush on Zero and decided I would cosplay from that game. So, I started recruiting for a group last year. At first, I was supposed to be Zero, but stuff happened and I ended up being One.
I made the whole thing (as usual).
The dress and cape had patterns. One was for a shirt that I made longer so it would be a dress, the other was for a Once Upon a time costume (he he). I modified the cape so it would fit One's design.
There was A LOT of hand sewing for that cosplay. I wanted the cape to be thick and heavy, so I lined it with velvet and added pipping with faux-fur. Had to hand sew the whole thing cause my sewing machine couldnt take the faux-fur ;n;.
The gauntlets were made out of worbla (magic!) and painted with simple acrylic paint. I based the color on the artwork more then the in-game model (cause in game, they are silver and on the art work, they are gold (i liked the gold version better!)). I did the same thing for the cross on the weapon.
The said weapon was made out of wood. It was a good choice, cause it is nearly indestructible. On the other side, it is very heavy =w=. (a tiny potato like me should have went for foam instead, ha ha).
One is currently in beta version (imo). There is still a few pieces missing, but I wore her anyway for the sake of my group. I know my wig is too long, I need to adjust that. For now, I am not 100% satisfied with her, but I will try to improve her.
Enjoy the few pictures I've got for now!
