For a cosplay that took under a month... it sure has been through a lot! It is a very comfortable cosplay to wear.

Worn At:
Otafest Aurora 2012
Cos & Effect 2013
Tsukino-Con 2014

I was able to participate in a music video that showcased Otafest Aurora's Cosplay.

Construction:

Oh the wonders of thrifstores, cosplay, and recycling... And this was one of the fastest cosplays I've ever done. Less than a month!

Top - Made out of white fabric into a tubish scarf and that does up in the front

Obi/Bow - My favorite part of the cosplay because its made out of a 42 inch pair of ulgy yellow pants. I cut those pants up into three tubed rectangles, painted the obi design, stuffed them with craftfoam, and sew and tied them together.

Obi Flower Decoration - Painted craftfoam with custom painted dowels/beads.
Sleeves - Cotton fabric pink gradient dye. It was my first time doing this and I quickly learned that you only get one shot at this.

Earring - I beaded all four of Yuna's earrings and tied them all together on a clip-on earring.

Boots - Platforms bought at the thriftstore. They hurt my feet!!

Jewelry - I found all the jewelry at that thriftstore too! I painted a gold flower necklace silver, strung together a pearl bracelet, and added a flower charm for the pinky ring.

Default Staff - I actually started making this staff about a year prior to making Yuna's cosplay. I just REALLY wanted to perform a sending and play around.

Tips on how I made the staff:

The staff's head is made out of garbage plywood. I would not recommend working with this because it has a lot of holes in it. I jig sawed, scroll sawed, drilled, hand/power sanded the the heck out that guy. Then I filled the holes in with paper clay and sanded some more.

The silver and gold portions of the staff is also made out of paper clay and sanded.

I strung random blue crystal beads and a bell that I secured at the bottom of the staff.

Enchanted Staff - A curtain rod, cutting board, holographic paper, toy ball, and beads
