Yay for the Scary Teddy from Nightmare Before Christmas. This was made in a week for Geekenders in Vancouver. I wore it with my pal Christina who is the Bullet Duck.

The dress is made of flannel and a Frankenstein of a pattern (I used bits and pieces from different patterns as well as some free handed stuff). The cape (though not easily seen in these photos) is flannel as well and held on with snaps on the back of the dress (free handed the design for this one). For the claws they're just made of paper, an origami I learned in elementary that ended up being useful haha. And they're just worn on top of plain white gloves. The ears (kinda hard to see) are just cardboard covered in felt attached to a headband that I painted black. The teeth (my favorite part) are made using thermoplastic beads, fake nails and nail polish. I'm actually very proud of how the teeth turned out, and they glow in the dark which is pretty cool haha.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to wear this one again in the near future and get some more detailed photos of the outfit.
