My very first cosplay costume!! And first time sewing haha. I self taught myself to sew summer of 2013 and debuted this cosplay at Cos and Effect 2013. It was entered into the Novice category of the cosplay contest for which I came Runner Up! I caught the cosplay bug then and there.

The dress is 100% made by me, I altered a prom dress pattern to do the high-low style and add the 'arc reactor' portion with lights. The gloves have been shortened and I have put lights in the palms. For the mask I took a child's mask as the base, repainted it, added glitter detailing, feathers, a hand made gold jewel, lights and screens in the eyes, and the stick which I decorated with various ribbons. The belt was a black belt that I painted gold. For the shoes I chose the heel-less design so when the lights were put in it would simulate the feeling of flying. I then painted them red, cut a hole in the heel and put the lights in. Overall I was very proud of this costume.
