Based on the artwork of Tess Fowler for a group with the Carolina D20 Girls at The Escapist Expo. I chose to make Cinderella's dress out of Gauze because it tears and distresses beautifully. It seemed fitting since Cinderella is the "ghost". I decided to make the dress in true apocalyptic fashion. I didn't use a sewing machine on anything except the belt mechanism holding up my hand made cage bustle. The inside of my parasol includes lyrics and quotes from popular Cinderella stories like Ever After, Disney's Cinderella, and Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. The pumpkin on the top is not cannon in the art but it lights up and is carved within the theme: mice, glass slipper, hearts. My fan says: "Happily Never After". The back of my dress has the wings Drew Barrymore's character wears in Ever After with the phrase: "Just Breathe."
