The first thing I would like to ask, is that you don't take this cosplay seriously. There are a lot of inaccuracies, and I would LOVE to remake this one entirely. This version of Seung Mina came about as a last minute idea, three days before a convention. Not the smartest idea in the whole world, but C. Viper (which I had been planning back then) fell through.
The Entirety of the costume is made from Jersey, which I got on sale. I liked working with a slightly stretchier fabric, but found that it's really not suitable for Seung Mina. The top was made with a shirt pattern and I patterned the skirt myself. I made the pattern for my ascot as well, which is easily my favorite piece of this whole costume. The gloves are super fail 'sleeves' which are basically tubes of fabric with holes cut in them for the thumbs. The boots were old boots that I covered with fabric, and all the white trim is bias tape.
There is one thing I like about this costume: the ascot. I pretty much hate everything else about it. It wasn't badly made, it's just very inadequate compared with my other work. The material was a wrong choice-- the skirt is so lightweight that I couldn't even walk out side without flashing people.
Oh and where's the rest of the polearm? In the trash. The blade broke off on our way to the shoot. And fell in this poor lady's lap.
