This was a costume I put together for Free Comic Book Day when I realized I had never done a comic character before. I stumbled across an Iron Man corset online and decided to finally put that Chemistry joke to good use. I painted the skirt myself, and purchased most of the other pieces as-is. It was a very fun costume to do, as I love the idea of using the mask as an accessory as opposed to hiding one's identity, because honestly... everyone knows who Iron Man is. The mask is a symbol, and I loved using it as just that: a symbol.
This indoor shoot was special in a nerve-wracking way, as it was the first time I've ever removed a part of my clothing in front of a camera. I had a special love for the more "sensual" part of the shoot, with my gold "hot pants", as I called them. But having the self-confidence to remove the skirt and take that leap was unbelievable.
