I've been wanting to make something that I could wear to cons during the summer because the southern heat is brutal, so I decided to make this particular Hikaru outfit since not only would it be perfect to wear in hot weather but I also had the majority of the materials on hand from previous projects! Plus, I've been wanting to tackle embroidery more, so I figured making the Rayearth patch would be a great learning experience. Lastly, because I *love* Magic Knight Rayearth and Hikaru is one of my all-time favorite characters!
