Shugo Chara! was my favorite manga series when I was in middle school and over a decade after reading this cute series, it’s still my 2nd favorite manga ever. (#1 is Magic Knight Rayearth) I remember loaning the volumes to several of my friends so that I could drag them into this obsession! 🤣 Also, I *LOVE* the first ending theme to the anime, “True Self” by Buono! While all of Amu’s character transformations are cute in there own way, Amulet Diamond was always my favorite. I loved how when Amu was finally able to become Amulet Diamond, she accepted that she could shine for who she was. Also, the *epic* hug Amu has with Ikuto when she saves him from the Death Rebel transformation was so sweet! Speaking of ships, Shugo Chara! was my introduction to internet ship wars and I remember all the insane arguments over whether or not Amu was gonna end up with Ikuto or Tadase. Also, I spent most of late-middle school to early-high school hunting down fanfiction on Fanfiction dot net. I can’t wait to make more Shugo Chara! costumes in the future!!
