Mew Mew Power, alongside Winx Club and Sailor Moon, was one of my favorite shows as a little girl. I used to wake up at 5am every Saturday morning even though the show didn’t start until 7am because I was so paranoid that I’d miss a episode! I cried when the show was canceled out of nowhere in Summer 2006, and two years later I searched the show online and learned that not only was the show not a cartoon, but an anime from Japan called Tokyo Mew Mew and there were 26 more episodes I had not seen! (As well as a 5th season of Sailor Moon, lol.) I found the manga at Books-A-Million and re-read the series non-stop until the TokyoPop pages started falling apart, and I took ALL the volumes to school with me every single day in the 4th grade. While the 4kids dub has not aged well, that theme song is still LIT!! I should also mention that this series started my never-ending love for cat-girls, nya~! ❤
