This was my very first cosplay ever! Puella Magi Madoka Magica was my favorite anime at the time, and I really wanted to cosplay one of the magical girls, particularly Kyoko or Homura. I liked how Kyoko appeared to be a fiery young girl, but was later revealed to have a sweet, caring side. This costume means a lot to me, since not only was it my first, but it also marked the beginning of convention-going for me! Plus, Kyoko was really underrated compared to the other PMMM girls, so it was nice to find more Kyoko fans through this costume!!
