Made due to suddenly getting a hoop skirt as a gift and having left over fabric from a Princess Daisy costume. Daisy is one of my favoruite Princess characters, and I love her attitude.
So I made the costume in under a month some how, then wore it to Ottawa Pop Expo 2014. I participated in the masquerade, and won a judges pick from Yaya Han herself (as well as a print and an awkward cosplayer hug).
On top of that I won my first ever award, but unfortunately I couldn't make it to the award ceremony and was never contacted about what I won. A friend of mine (was an acquaintance at the time) told me they remembered me winning something though, others think it was a "Best Finishing" award. See? Hemming is important (especially with flower petal shaped hems).
