ime for Day 13, Your cosplay specialty (ie. something that you seem to apply to a large amount of your cosplays, it could be a specific series, or common feature in their appearance, such as glasses).

I really wouldn't say I "specialize" in anything cosplay related, the most I could say is that I wear my glasses in pretty much all my cosplays now (it's more convient than taking them off and putting them back on for photos then forgetting to take them off and getting upset, that sort of thing) but not sure that quite counts; I do tend to make my own felt plushies as little accessories with my cosplays though so that coooould count?

Time for Day 12, Your cosplay idol.

Now this is a hard one, because there are so many people I look up to in the cosplay community.

My first ever idol was Reika, there's just something so captivating about their cosplays.

Other idols I've picked up on the way are Jessica Nigri, she's so talented but what I idolize about her the most is her personality.

Most recently Surine Cosplay and Rinaca Cosplay for their fantastically wonderful Overwatch cosplays, which helps boost my confidence cosplaying Tracer (one of the most fun cosplays I have) myself.

I'd also have to say that my friends are my idols too.

I'm part way the 30 day cosplay challenge, so let's catch up in this post!

Looking through the Tracer photoshoot taken by Trevor Orchard / Convention Cosplay Collection, I was reminded of a photoshoot I did of my Secret Police Megurine Luka photoshoot back in 2015 at London Anime Con., also with Trevor / Con Cos Collection.

Then I thought it would be pretty fun to do a comparison, and I can see a big improvement in my posing. Posing has always just been one of those things for me, I either get it wrong or sort-of-right and at the time I was really happy with my posing in 2015, but now, I'm even happier with the results I've gotten this year.

Question is, would you like me to do a full comparison of the photoshoot?

Also, show me your improvement of posing from cosplay to cosplay! It can be different cosplays like mine or the same cosplay.

Yay or nay?

I don't mind so much if a friend takes one of me candidly and shows me, as we can usually have a giggle.. but other than that, I'm against candid shots taken of me.. ESPECIALLY eating!

This sort of came about from seeing a photo of myself in cosplay in a photographers gallery that they shared online cosplay paying an artist for well, art, My assumption is the photo wasn't really aimed at me at all (seeing as you can't see my face but my cosplay and purse give me away just a liiittle bit) but just showing off the stall and whatnot.  Not honestly sure why it bothers me, it may be because I didn't know this photographer was there at all?  Or maybe it's because he could have taken a photograph of the seller and their stall like other photographs he'd taken, then the seller would also be aware there's a photo of himself and his work floating about in his gallery?  Or there's even, and I'm being honest here, slight jealousy that he really probably wasn't even fussed about my cosplay?

Oh, some examples of candid photos I was talking about are these.

Now, these are some I didn't mind because
1. I had full awareness my friend was taking them and
2. They're actually not that horrendous, haha.

(And yes, Tracer did enjoy her chocolate-y goodness, nom).

Topic from another day: Cosplay apps!

I'm relatively new to the world of apps, but I just downloaded Cosplay Amino (I'm Sprinkle Princess). I've heard a lot of good things about the app and all the features it has, though I'm still figuring out how to use it (at least I have a profile).

So, I was wondering, what cosplay apps do you use?
Did you hear a lot of hype about them before you downloaded it?
Did you find it easy to use or did it take a bit more fiddling to get used to it?

I was told I should cosplay a robot and Fumi from Crush Crush came into my head.. embarassed now she's not EXACTLY a robot, but she is pretty robotic at the start. tongue-out

osu! knows me too well.... and yes, yes I am after all of the Anime Pack achievements as I am a "Total Otaku".

If I look familiar, I was previously Meganekko Jess Cosplay and Chatter but have decided I wanted a fresh new start. wink

Hi so the article portion of this site was not working so I wasn't able to do any writing on anything, because it wasn't being fixed. I understand now that creator is refurbishing this website to make it better, and as such has got the article section working again. The downside is of course I've gotten behind on my writing, but I'll think I'll just do a short review article for all the anime I've watched since last time I wrote to expedite the process. In fact I may even shorten up my anime reviews so I don't spend too much time on time, unless the mood takes me at the moment. In the meantime, my diminished experience at Sakura Con has inspired me to do more cosplays again and I already have two planned, both have been delayed for a while but should finally come to light this summer. And more to follow. So that's what's been going on.
