While not the first costume I ever did, I consider this costume to be the one that really launched me into cosplay. I've never felt so strongly about a character and a costume as I did this one. I spent months putting it together, and I'm still constantly tweaking and changing it. (Since first debuting it, I have changed the skirt, the necklace, and the wig.) The first convention I wore it to was Boston Comic Con 2013, and then I wore it again at Granite State Comic Con that year, where I won Best In Show in the costume contest. The outfit is made entirely from scratch - The skirt, belts, and breeches are a combination of real and faux leather, the shoulder pauldron is boiled leather hide, the dragon talon necklace is polymer clay....even the dragons are all hand-painted. But what I am most proud of in the costume is the top and loincloth - I couldn't find a fabric that I felt worked for the project, so I built a loom and wove my own.
