The crown was made of thermoplastic and gems. I set each gem in a small amount of thermoplastic, then created each piece, eventually connecting them all together. The veil fabric on the head and neck is lace that was satin-stitched on the edge to create a finished look. 150 individual crystals were glued onto them in total. The next piece secures in the back with velcro, and the beading on the shoulder was hand-beaded using artisan beads. The sleeves are lined so that the elastic is actually encased within the lining, no casing can be seen. The bottoms are finished with a lave and pearl trim, and then individual beaded sections of lace were cut and hand-sewn with extra beads for each design, totaling about 60 for both sleeves together. The cape is patterned similar to a circle skirt to add the flow and layering at the bottom without creating bulk at the top. The inside is a gold brocade, each layer both white and gold had a custom made bias tape added to the bottom, and the white layer has a single line of satin-stitching at above it (6 yards is the circumference of the cape). The gold trim was then sandwiched in between the layers, and flipped to create the desired effect. The tops of the sleeves as well as the top of the cape are lined top and bottom with over 600 hand-sewn swarovski crystals. The embroidery at the top of both the cape and sleeves was hand-stitched. Puffy paint was applied in the desired pattern, then I used embroidery floss to cover it all. Overall each rose took an hour to stitch, and each leaf design about half an hour. There are 13 roses and 15 leaf designs in all. The bodice is faced with a thick backing, and is completely boned, with breast cups added inside for extra padding. The bottom is more of the custom bias tape from the bottom of the cape. The top of the cape attaches to the bodice with a strip of snaps, as the bodice opens in the back with a zipper, and the cape opens in the front with hooks and eyes. The three strings of gold across the front connect with a snap on one side, allowing them to open to put the garment on. The middle piece was made from sculpey, molded in puddy then cast in resin. The shorts as well as the tops of the sleeves have a mesh inside that allows it to keep it's shape a bit better than before. The bottom of the shorts and top are secured with elastic. The thigh-highs are actually leggings. The white spandex was satin-stitched onto flesh-tone mesh, and then each leg pattern was cut from that. It secures at the top via elastic. The beading on the thighs is also hand-done, with 5 different types and sizes of pearl beads. Sections of bridal lace were also cut out and hand-sewn onto the leggings. The bracelet is hand-made with the same beads, and hooks close with a t-bar clasp. The bouquet has a custom made wrap for it. I now have accurate boots, with the covers being attached with velcro, all the details being satin-stitched on.

This costume is the favorite one i've done to date, and by far the most beautiful. I poured my heart and soul into it, and I can't wait to improve it even more!
